She became the youngest ever world record holder
in any sport in
1965, at age 12, when she established
a new mark in the 110 yards

Penny Heyns:
As an international swimmer, Penny Heyns established
herself as the world’s greatest female breaststroker of
all time by becoming the only woman in Olympic history
to win both
the 100 and 200 meter breaststroke events
and by breaking 14
individual world records during her
career.
Penny is the first woman in history to hold all three world
records
in the 50, 100 and 200 meter breaststroke events.
